Okinawa: A new Karatedo and Kobudo Federation established

The new city of Uruma, Okinawa was born due to city consolidation. Following this, the concerned bodies that constituted the former Gushikawa City Karatedo Federation formed the “Uruma City Karatedo Kobudo Federation”. Chairman Kotaro Iha said, “As our new city faces new development, we look forward to actively take part in this city expansion through the cooperation between local karate and kobudo dojos. As dojos take root in the community, we wish to gain the community’s understanding, healthily train the youth, and inter-communicate with the community’s traditional culture circles”.
The Uruma City Karatedo Kobudo Federation, held a demonstration meet to commemorate the establishment of the Uruma City Karatedo Kobudo Federation on February 12, 2006 at the Uruma City Kimutaka Hall.
